Who is Chachi?
How it all Started
» It all started when I enrolled in a vocational course at TESDA way back in January 2018 until May 2018, and I’ve decided to take the Hair Dressing Course. It is because I never felt any personal or career growth from my previous job. I was not able to save money and help my family financially because my earnings didn’t suffice for our needs. That’s why I pursued the course, and I know for myself that I can handle it since it was a dream for me.
» In those months, I’ve learned the basics. Every time I asked my model to do the hairdressing for free, the good news is that I learned everything and developed other skills one step at a time. I was able to take the NCII exam, passed it then I continued to do the on-the-job training for the next 3 months at a certain hair salon, but I hated doing that instead of making one for myself, having my own clients, and making myself grow as an independent hairdresser.
Improving my Skills
» Well, it is the usual thing; when you’re building your personal business, it is not easy, and I’m not assuming that I know everything, and I think there’s more room for improvement. I usually research, especially if it’s something new to me, so watching YouTube tutorials from other professional hairstylists really helps a lot. You will never learn if you do not try. I have tried playing with some hair color mixtures, and time after time, I was able to understand how to do it correctly. I’ve learned how to do balayage highlights and other trendy fashion hair colors; that was the in-demand service from most of the clients so far. I’m not saying that I’m an expert at doing those hair color mixtures, but I must say that I am proud of myself and thankful that I am able to give my clients satisfaction with my service.
» As time goes by, I’ve received some referrals from my old clients, and I am able to provide my service in a lot of different places to different people, and vloggers, From 2019 up to this year.
» I keep learning and learning new things, because in this kind of career, there is no dead-end for learning; you just need to think about what’s new because you need to provide satisfaction to your clients. So you must thank God if you have skills that you can use to grow yourself. It is your wealth and legacy.
